The founding moment
At a digital health event at Penn Medicine, the VA's innovation team revealed a challenge that went far deeper than we expected. Every year, hundreds of thousands of Veterans transition from military to civilian life, and too many never access the support they earned. Not because it doesn't exist. But because the system is simply too overwhelming to navigate alone.
And the problem wasn't only on the veteran's side. The subject matter experts responsible for that knowledge were struggling too. Preparing materials for an audience that kept changing. Reaching new generations and demographics their original content was never designed for.
